Amanda has been with Macon Road Veterinary Clinic since September 2017, but has been in veterinary medicine since July 2007.  Her and her family moved to Fort Mitchell, AL when her husband was assigned to Fort Moore.  Her and her husband, Todd, have been married since April 2012 and have one daughter named Evelyn.
Amanda has always had a passion for animals as she grew up with horses, dogs, cats, and birds.  Fresh out of high school, she started working in veterinary medicine and has grown in her knowledge and experience throughout the years.  Her main job focus with Macon Road Vet is assisting with surgeries and hospitalized patients.  She was promoted to lead veterinary assistant in June 2021 and then promoted to Hospital Manager in June 2022.  She enjoys many different aspects of the job but has a true passion for surgery, emergencies, and working with our local police K9s.
Outside of work, Amanda loves spending time with her family and friends.  She enjoys camping, walking the beaches of Jekyll Island, kayaking/boating, assistant coaching her daughter’s softball team, and loving on her four fur kids, Peaches (kitty), Sabot (dog), Buck (dog), and Aurora (kitty).  She also enjoys attending Church of the Highlands in Columbus and doing bible study in her free time.

 Sarah Miller - Office Manager
Sarah has called Columbus, GA home for most of her life and has always had a special place in her heart for both animals and people. Growing up surrounded by pets, she learned early on the joy and comfort that animals bring to everyday life. That love has carried into her role as Office Manager at Macon Road Veterinary Clinic, where she combines her organizational skills with her passion for helping others. Sarah takes pride in making clients feel welcomed, supported, and confident that their pets are in the best hands. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys a full and happy life with her partner and their silly, lovable dog, Arlo, who never fails to keep them laughing with his antics. When she isn’t spending time with family, Sarah enjoys unwinding with a good book and finding little ways to make the people around her smile. She believes that kindness and positivity go a long way, and she strives to bring that energy into everything she does—both at the clinic and in her personal life. She believes a smile, a kind word, and maybe a wagging tail can make just about anything better.

 Trista Balboa - Receptionist
I am a proud Colorado native, but over the years Columbus, Georgia has truly become home. Family is at the heart of everything I do-I've been married to my husband for over a decade and the Army life has brought us to Georgia. Together we are raising three wonderful children. Our house is full of love (and a little bit of chaos!) Thanks to our 4 dogs, cat and bearded dragon our home often gets mistaken for a small zoo.
When I'm not at the clinic I enjoy spending time with my family, cheering my kids on at their sporting events, or curling up with a good book.
I’m proud to be the receptionist here at Macon Road Veterinary Clinic, where I get to blend my love for animals with my love for people every single day. I enjoy being that first smiling face when clients walk through the door, and I do my best to make both pets and their families feel welcome, comfortable, and cared for.
I’ve always had a huge soft spot for animals, so working at Macon Road Veterinary Clinic truly feels like the perfect fit. Every day brings new faces, new stories, and new furry (or scaly!) friends, and I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else.

 DeMarius Harris-Green - Kennel Assistant
Hello, everyone, I’m De! I am part of the kennel team, where I care for each pet as if they were my own. With five dogs at home, I know firsthand the unconditional love and energy that animals bring to our lives, and I carry that same devotion into my work every day. Outside of work, I’m known as the life of the party—I love to make people laugh and spread positivity wherever I go. At the clinic, that energy translates into creating a warm and welcoming environment for both pets and their people.
